Adding Family Members to ChoreGami

Once your account is set up, it’s time to add your family members so everyone can participate in the chore system.

Adding Children

Step 1: Access Family Settings

  1. Log in to your ChoreGami account
  2. Click on “Family” in the main navigation
  3. Select “Add Family Member”

Step 2: Enter Child Information

  1. Enter your child’s name
  2. Set their age (this helps with age-appropriate chore suggestions)
  3. Choose an avatar or upload a photo
  4. Set their starting point balance (usually 0 or a small welcome bonus)

Step 3: Configure Permissions

  1. Set what they can view (their chores, family dashboard, etc.)
  2. Choose if they can add their own chores or just complete assigned ones
  3. Set spending limits for the rewards store

Adding Other Adults

For Co-Parents or Guardians

  1. Follow the same steps as adding children
  2. Select “Adult” permissions instead of child permissions
  3. They’ll receive an invitation email to create their own login
  4. Set their parent PIN for accessing family settings

Permission Levels

  • Child: Can complete chores, view rewards, spend points (with limits)
  • Teen: Additional permissions like editing chore details
  • Adult: Full access to family settings, adding/removing chores, managing rewards

Family Size Recommendations

  • 2-4 members: Perfect for most families
  • 5+ members: Consider creating chore groups or teams
  • Multiple households: Each parent can have their own account with shared children
